Claudelands Rovers Football Club contracts a Junior Community Development Coach who visits schools within the region and assists with coaching programmes to ensure continued participation, development and growth for everyone. The assistance not only benefits the players but also the parents/coaches by giving the the knowledge and confidence to support their work with the players
Schools are visited each year reaching 300-400 children, and measurement of our project in the the continuance of local schools requesting our services/assistance and by increased membership across all age groups. By working and promoting sport within our local schools, we can share resources and increase participation and knowledge with both players and coaches.
This initiative also provides a pathway for children to continue with sport once they leave school, as we believe we have a duty of care to keep children active.
